The Post-Haste Performance Toyota Aristo ‪#‎PHPJZS147 gets an ECUMasters EMU Standalone Engine Management System! Since our last Fuel System upgrades on our PHP Aristo we had to find an Engine Management solution. This wasn’t as easy as it could have been due to the Aristo having an Electronically controlled Automatic Transmission. Toyota had bundled both Engine and Transmission computers into the same ECU which complicated matters. Our solution was to run a Standalone Engine Management ECU wired in “Parallel Mode”. We first featured this “Lightning” powered Ford F250 way back in June 2015. The lifted, big tire, 4×4 truck had been fitted with a stock Lightning Modular 5.4 Supercharged V8. It had a handful of bolt on’s but performance was always hampered by its shear mass. Its been a long road when it comes to the build on this 2001 Ford F250. Drift Union’s #DUI16 was the perfect excuse to spend some time over in the Okanagan. A chance to down tools, put our feet up and relax, even if it was just for a couple of days. We loaded our Aristo up with enough camping gear and supplies for at least a month and headed out for our weekend adventure. The weekend was a great mix of Family Time, Drift Time, Beach Time and Beer Time. The event had an awesome atmosphere and we’ll be looking to go again next year for sure. Our 1995 Aristo is powered with Toyota’s very popular 2JZ-GTE Inline 6 Twin Turbo Charged engine.  When we purchased the car it already had a Garrett T67 (T40R) Single Turbo conversion, a Front Mounted Intercooler and full 3″ Turbo Back Exhaust. Unfortunately the Fuel System was stock, as was the engine management. Victoria Day 2016 PHP attended Capital Drift Round 2 at Western Speedway in Langford, BC with Sedrick Skabar in his 1992, 1JZ powered Toyota Soarer.  This was the first event of the year for Sedrick and also the first chance to do some testing after his recent swap from stock twins to a single turbo setup. PHP are working with Sedrick Skabar for this drift season and although we’re a little behind, we’re now ready to hit the track with his 1992 1JZ powered Soarer. We’ve helped with the Single Turbo install, Fuel System and Engine Management. The stock transmission is a concern so we’ve left boost at 1.0 BAR and given it a conservative tune on 94 Octane. Adam from “Core-Tuning” hooked us up with the latest Hardware and Software available from the very popular “Binary Editor” package. This gives us a comprehensive Ford coverage from 1984 thru 2016 – Gas & Diesel. Post-Haste Performance would like to say a HUGE THANKYOU to all the VCC Members that come down for our first ever “Dyno Day”! We had fair share of issues on the day but have learnt a lot from it!
